Getting to the Festival

The Ottawa Folk Festival is located in Hog’s Back Park, a cherished jewel of green space centrally located within the city’s core. Hog’s Back Park is bounded by Colonel By, Heron, Riverside, and Hog’s Back roads.

We highly recommend using public transit, biking or walking to the site!  See below for parking info.

PUBLIC TRANSIT

OC Transpo Day Passes:  Purchase a Day Pass directly from the bus driver for $7.95. The whole family (2 adults and up to 4 children under 13) can travel with one Day Pass on weekends.

Use the TRAVEL PLANNER to plan your route!

PARA TRANSPO

Para Transpo pick-up and drop-off is available at the roundabout at the entrance to the Park at 601 Hog’s Back Road K2C 1N5.

CYCLING

The National Capital Pathway cuts through Hog’s Back Park.  Free, secure bike parking will be available at both ends of the park.

PARKING

Festival organizers have made arrangements for FREE parking at Canada Post on Riverside Drive after 5 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; and all day on Saturday & Sunday. (Canada Post’s parking lot is located 900 meters from the festival’s main gates.)

PAID parking is also available at Vincent Massey Park off Heron Road. The festival does not coordinate this.

During the festival, parking will not be available to the general public in the gravel lot operated by Parks Canada at Mooney’s Bay south of Hog’s Back Road nor at the falls/canteen parking lot at Hog’s Back Park.
